Reprezentant al Structurilor Asociative ale Societăţii Civile
Preşedintele Consiliului Economic şi Social este ales la propunerea părţilor prin votul plenului, dintre membrii acestuia, cu o majoritate de trei pătrimi din numărul total al membrilor Consiliului Economic şi Social. Mandatul preşedintelui Consiliului Economic şi Social este de 4 ani.
Atribuțiile Președintelui CES
a) reprezintă Consiliul Economic şi Social în faţa Parlamentului, a Guvernului şi a celorlalte autorităţi publice, precum şi în relaţiile cu terţii în baza unui mandat aprobat de Plenul Consiliului Economic şi Social;
b) semnează actele Consiliului Economic şi Social;
c) angajează şi, după caz, numeşte, potrivit legii, personalul din aparatul Consiliului Economic şi Social;
d) exercită orice alte atribuţii care îi revin potrivit legii sau hotărârilor plenului.
Vicepreședinții Consiliului Economic și Social
Atribuţiile vicepreşedinţilor Consiliului Economic şi Social se stabilesc prin regulamentul de organizare şi funcţionare.
